Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress also known as a producer, director and actress. She has been praised for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The film Piano has won several awards for her, among them an Oscar. Early on she began acting on stage in a number of Broadway or Off-Broadway productions. It has always been her love of life. When she was in fifth grade, she portrayed Helen Keller in an original show. She became deaf in one ear following a bout of the mumps virus, however she did not allow this handicap to hinder her desire to be an actress. When she was a teenager, she took classes in drama at the college level and then moved to New York City from Pittsburgh in order to follow her dreams. Hunter had her Broadway debut due to a chance encounter with Beth Henley, a playwright. The two worked together for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. After that, she moved to Los Angeles and tried to land movie parts. For Swing Shift, she landed a role as a support. For the past 30 years Holly Hunter has been on various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actress and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
